Screen time that stays
on your phone.
GameTime shows where your time goes and helps you stick to limits you set yourself. No account, no cloud, and your usage data never leaves your phone.
What it does
Daily & weekly usage
See time per app for today, this week, last week or last month, plus unlock and notification counts.
Per-app limits
Set a different limit for each day of the week. When time is up, the app is blocked.
App groups
Put apps together (like all your games) and share one combined limit.
Focus mode
Pick distracting apps and cap their total time for the day.
PIN & bonus time
Protect your settings with a PIN and grant yourself extra time deliberately, not by accident.
Widgets & themes
Home-screen widgets, light/dark/auto mode and four colour themes: Midnight, Sakura, Forest and Lavender.
Your privacy, plainly
- Internet is only for ads. GameTime uses the internet only to show ads, and they never affect how the app works. Your screen time and app usage are not sent anywhere.
- No accounts and no usage tracking. Nothing to sign up for, and no analytics on what you do in the app.
- Your data stays on-device. Limits, groups, PIN and preferences are stored locally on your phone.
- It never reads what’s on your screen. The accessibility service only learns which app just opened, so it can enforce limits. It can’t see text, messages or passwords.
- You’re in control. Every permission is optional to revoke in Android settings, and uninstalling removes everything. Read the full privacy policy.
Permissions, and why
| Permission | Why GameTime needs it |
|---|---|
| Usage access | Lets Android tell GameTime how long each app was open. This is the core of the app. |
| Accessibility service | Detects the moment an app launches so a limit can be enforced instantly. Window content is not read. |
| Display over other apps | Shows the “time’s up” block screen on top of a limited app. |
| Internet | Only used to load ads. |
| Notifications & foreground service | Keeps the monitor running reliably and shows its status notification. |
